Dear Neighbor,
As the holiday season begins, you will, no doubt, be receiving many letters of appeal asking for financial help.
• Will any of these letters promise that every dime you contribute will be spent on those in need and not for administrative help?
We can because every person involved is a volunteer!
• Will any of these letters promise that every dime you contribute will be spent on those in need who live right here in the Windsor area?
We can because we are in Windsor to serve Windsor!
The Windsor Service Alliance asks for your help in this once a year letter of appeal. Your tax-deductible contribution of $10, $20, $50 dollars or more will be used to continue this important work. The Windsor Service Alliance was founded in 1991 as a cooperative, volunteer effort of individuals who share a common concern for the well being of all the citizens of our community.
- Our Food Pantry will provide over 400,000 meals to people in need this year. If you are in need of food or emergency assistance, please come to the Food Pantry, located at 8987 Windsor Road, on Fridays between 3:00 and 4:00pm or call the number below. Bring proof of Windsor residency and we will sign you up.
- Our Emergency Assistance Program provides a one time, limited cash payment to help pay seriously overdue utilities, rent or medical bills.
- Our Gas Voucher Program, administered by the Police Department, assists stranded travelers.
- Our Christmas Food Baskets will provide over 300 holiday meals to needy families in our community.
Please consider this request to share with your neighbors in our community and then respond – soon. Simply cut off the response portion below and return it with your check, in the enclosed envelope. Your gift will be used to continue our work during the coming year and for the Christmas Food Baskets. If you are interested in volunteering at the Food Pantry we would like to have your participation. Simply check the box below on the response card and we will contact you with all the information.
